Immortals of Aveum, it seemed, came and went, with the flashy FPS failing to set the world alight, resulting in significant layoffs at the studio. Despite that, developer Ascendant Studios has been plugging away at the Echollector update, which adds endgame content, Grand Magnus difficulty, and a New Game+ mode, all available as a free update, and it's out today.
In Echollecter, players can blast through the game again with previously unlocked weapons and abilities, made more of a challenge by including the Grand Magnus difficulty mode. There are additional combat challenges to undertake, along with additional quests, gear, and a new Legendary Green Sigil to unearth.
In addition, a trial version of Immortals of Aveum is now live, allowing players to play through the game's first three chapters and see how they like it.

Probably should have held this game and released it around now. Not only do you avoid the loaded summer which clearly affected sales, but they could actually release a more finished product.
Also on sale for $34.99. Was thinking of picking it up!

Downloading the trial now. If I like it I’ll probably buy it, especially at £35
Played it and loved it till about half way through then it became one of the biggest drags to finish in all my gaming life(which is long as I'm 52 and been gaming 45 years!)
